How to Heal Your Trauma

If you are looking into past lives therapy you might have some considerable trauma that you are trying to heal. It is possible that trauma from a past life is affecting this current life. By looking at the events of a past life you can release the trauma and heal yourself.

There are many other ways to heal trauma if you don’t feel ready for therapy. Much modern research is focusing in on the fact that trauma is held in the body. There are many self-help techniques you can use to heal this trauma.

Yoga is a brilliant tool for managing trauma. Try to find a yoga teacher that focuses on holding the poses for a long time rather than the fashionable ashtanga yoga flow which is more about fitness. Many clients find a release in some yoga stretches that causes them to cry. This is beneficial for trauma release.

There is also the technique of tapping on the meridian points of the body. Though this technique is not properly understood by science it has a calming effect on the body. It is a method you can use on yourself. You can find an energy healer to help you practise this technique or you can watch YouTube videos demonstrating how to do it.

Breathing is a fantastic way of managing trauma. Focus on deep inhales and long exhales. The exhale should be longer than the inhale. You should be breathing deeply from the belly. One good method is to inhale for a count of 6 through the nose, then hold the breath for a count of 8, then perform a long exhale through pursed lips.

There are also many therapeutic modalities that can help you: psychedelic therapy, neurofeedback, EMDR and IFS therapy. Find a good practitioner.

You may also benefit from taking part in drama activities.

Concentrate each day on making new habits that benefit you. It’s extremely important to find a supportive community. At first it could just be you and your therapist or a good friend. Then find more activities to do with others.

Lastly, my favourite healing method is meditation. Everything you need is within you. Just sit on a cushion with your back straight. Breathe deeply in and out and close your eyes. Just sit. Let the thoughts come and go like clouds. Work up from ten minutes to longer sessions. It becomes easier every time you do it.

You can heal.
